Gerry Davis is the Managing Partner, Global Practices and Regional Manager Asia Pacific for Heidrick and Struggles. Gerry's responsibilities in both these roles are initiating and leading the global client and practice strategies for marketing, business development and infrastructure planning for all Heidrick & Struggles offices and all related client and staffing relationships in leading and developing offices in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to that Gerry was head of the CIO Practice in Asia Pacific and Technology and Professional Services Practice.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Gerry was an Executive Director of an international search firm conducting assignments for leading technology and professional services firms, in areas including General Management, IT Management, Telecommunications, Sales and Marketing. Clients included both large established corporations and start-up businesses.

Before entering the executive search industry Gerry was Managing Director of On Australia Pty Ltd, a joint venture between Telstra and Microsoft, to deliver Internet and online services. Following Microsoft's decision to sell its interest to Telstra, this business became Australia's largest Internet services provider and portal site. Prior to this Gerry was a senior executive of Lend Lease Corporation where he was Chief Executive Officer of one of Australia's largest software and services companies, Lend Lease Employer Systems and was later Executive Director - Business Development of Australasia's largest information services company, ISSC Australia.

Gerry commenced his career as an Officer in the Royal Australian Navy before joining PA Consulting where he conducted assignments in logistics, operations and organisation development.He then joined AFP Group PLC where he was responsible for evaluating and integrating acquired businesses in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Gerry then joined Booz Allen and Hamilton in South East Asia and helped establish their Australian office where he led strategy and business process re-engineering assignments with major clients in technology, financial services, healthcare and manufacturing.

Education
Gerry Davis has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics and a Master of Commerce in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of New South Wales, a Graduate Diploma in Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Master of Business Administration in strategy and management from the University of Washington.
