Internet users are scrabbling for downloads from BitTorrent (BT) websites following speculation that authorities will shut them down as early as this week.
BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol used for distributing large amounts of data. BitTorrent is one of the most common protocols for transferring large files, and it has been estimated that it accounts for approximately 27-55% of all Internet traffic .There has been much controversy over the use of BitTorrent trackers. BitTorrent metafiles themselves do not store copyrighted data. Whether the publishers of BitTorrent metafiles violate copyrights by linking to copyrighted material is controversial. |

Google, the internet search giant, has launched a new application of Profiles search. It allows you to present yourself on Google and others to easily find this profile. You can include, for instance, your nickname, occupation, geographical location, photos, brief introduction and links to your blog, online photos, and other profiles like Facebook and LinkedIn, etc. All the data will be integrated into the contents made by you, such as the individually created Google Maps and the Shared Bookmarks. But of course, users have control over what others could see. Your profile will not show any private data unless you have added some privacy and then made it publicly known. |
